Eating healthy is a powerful tool in managing all types of diabetes but knowing what to eat and when can be challenging. Amanda Brien – has been dubbed “the non-judgemental nutritionist by her colleagues! You might recognise her voice from TVNZ’s top rated show Eat Well For Less. She is passionate about helping others to be healthy and most importantly, enjoying food. Her career in nutrition includes diabetes outreach as part of primary healthcare team in Auckland.
Reuben O’Neill – has Type 1 diabetes, is a professional rugby player with the Chiefs and runs his own consultancy from Taranaki supporting people to live well with good nutrition exercise, especially his fellow Type 1’s.
