Crank up your crispbread

Feeling peckish? Sweet or savoury, these crunchy snacks are a cracking option.

Strawberry, mint and honey

Spread a crispbread (we used Ryvita) with 2 tablespoons Philadelphia extra light spreadable cream cheese. Top with 2-3 thinly sliced strawberries, torn mint leaves and a drizzle of honey.

Per serve (1 cracker): Energy 460kJ (111cal), Protein 5g, Fat 2g – saturated 1g, Carbohydrate 15g – sugars 10g, Fibre 2g, Sodium 120mg, Calcium 110mg, Iron 0.5mg

Beetroot, cucumber and feta

Spread a crispbread with 1 tablespoon store-bought beetroot dip. Top with ¼ cucumber, sliced, and 20g crumbled feta. vegetarian

Boiled egg, avocado and chilli

Spread a crispbread with ¼ avocado, mashed or sliced. Top crispbread with 1 sliced hard-boiled egg and sprinkle with dried chilli flakes.

Make it low FODMAP: Use a rice crispbread and limit avocado to ¹/8.

Peanut butter, apple and cinnamon

Spread a crispbread with 1 tablespoon no-added-salt-or-sugar peanut butter. Top with ½ green apple, thinly sliced, and dust with cinnamon.

Ricotta, pesto and tomato

Spread a crispbread with 2 tablespoons ricotta. Top with sliced cherry tomatoes and swirl over 2 teaspoons basil pesto. vegetarian

Make it low FODMAP: Use a rice crispbread and a pesto with no garlic.

Hummus, capsicum and rocket

Spread a crispbread with 1 tablespoon hummus. Top with 50g store-bought roasted capsicum and baby rocket. Drizzle over balsamic vinegar.
